A fellow resident’s patio grill ignited a blaze that ripped through the 300 building at the Haven at Berry Shoals community near Duncan on Oct. 15. No one was killed, but the building was demolished and 28 families were left homeless.

The complex itself is attractive. It sits on a heavily wooded hillside and is nicely landscaped throughout. But the wall was blight both for residents and for the thousands of passerby who travel Gallaher View daily.
